I loved some of the arguments made throughout this essay. The idea that there is little cooperation remaining between the political parties and the divide that has been imposed on our society as a result is being enhanced by social media is very apparent in the way that it has been utilized. What I do think your essay mentions that should maybe be a little more heavily referenced, is this idea that social media ultimately reflects our tendencies as people and if we want to use it to create this divide, our methodology of interacting with posts and users further re-enforces the power of the algorithm.
