All Light Begins to Turn to Gloom
Written By: Lisette Serrano
All light begins to turn to gloom
As I reckon with the debts of the unrequited
My hopeless pride begins to loom
As I wonder over the justice of the Moon
Her rays bring me back to the emotion she ignited
All light begins to turn to gloom
With a drink in hand I find comfort by high noon
Suddenly my endless sorrows become indited
My hopeless pride begins to loom
My mind conjures up a faded, distant croon,
Reminding me, hastily, we are no longer united
All light begins to turn to gloom
You were once the cause of a fulfilling bloom
Now I starve for your wrongs to be righted
My hopeless pride begins to loom
I’d take anything you give me even if it meant doom
Though I fear you consider me disinvited
All light begins to turn to gloom
My hopeless pride begins to loom
